Long-haired cats, and short-haired ones in a heavy moult, swallow a lot of fur when they wash. Meow Mix Hairball Control is a dry food for adult cats made with that problem in mind. It is the American Meow Mix, imported from the USA, in 1.43 kg and 2.86 kg bags.
Feeding and storage
Use it as the main daily food, with amounts taken from the guide on the bag. Give your cat about a week to change over from its previous food. Keep the bag sealed between meals and stored somewhere cool, and make sure water is always down.
Helping from the outside
Brushing helps as well: fur that comes out on a comb is fur your cat does not swallow. A few minutes several times a week suits Persians and other long coats. A cat that retches often without bringing anything up should see a vet.
