Small breed puppies do their growing quickly and are close to adult size within the first year. Royal Canin Mini Puppy is the dry food for that period, sold in a 4 kg bag.
Feeding
Young pups need their food in several sittings: four meals a day when they are very small, three by about four months, and two from six months on. The chart on the bag sets out how much, based on age and expected adult weight. Tiny breeds should not be left for long stretches without food, so keep to regular mealtimes. If your puppy came with a different food, mix the two for a week before going over fully. Keep water down.
What comes next
Somewhere around ten to twelve months, a small dog is ready for adult food, and Mini Adult is the matching recipe. Until then, keep the bag sealed and dry between meals.
