Feeding a puppy
Young puppies usually eat three or four times a day, dropping to two meals as they get older. The bag has a chart that sets the daily amount by age and expected adult weight, so read it again every few weeks as your puppy grows. If your puppy has come from a breeder or shelter, keep the old food going for a few days and then blend this in over a week.
When to switch
Small and medium dogs move to adult food at about a year. Large breeds keep growing for longer and often stay on puppy food until 15 to 18 months. Your vet can tell you when.
